I'll try to attach the rotary chart for cutting it out for a 12" finished block & you can see mine. PM me with your email address if the pdf rotary chart doesn't come through with this post.

McCall's Quilting Jan/Feb 2010 issue (their 100th issue) has this block (slight variation) on pages 82-84, called Santa Fe Country. It is 12"

I've been looking for it in my books, but nothing yet. I've one more to check, but I'm not holding my breath with that book.

I really like that block too.

Shiloh----LOVE the avatar. I miss the snow! My uncle used to work for U of M. My cousin is still there, just can't remember the department. Great town!

You're welcome. When I made mine, I didn't cut the "polygons" like it says on the chart. I cut strips & sewed a square on the diagonal, flipped up and snipped off the back side--like snowball block corners.

It's in the "It's OK if you sit on my Quilt" book but without instructions. I did a few of them in the Boomerang swap. Used a grid paper to draw out the pattern. If you want, I'll draw the steps out for you. Only difference, I used a mitered corner.

Can you tell me a little bit more about quilt pro. Did you see todays post on the Main about using Excel spreadsheets to create quilt designs? Sounds like quilt pro might be another solution. If you think so will you pretty please update the Excel post?
