I also saw this quilt at the Gate City Quilt Guild's show. The photo was nice but seeing the quilt in person is unbelievable. I stood and look at it for a long time. Just so you know, this quilt was pieced, embroidered, and machine quilted by Linda Wightman of Greensboro, NC which is where the guild is located also. (Recently there was a thread on this board about giving due credit to a quilt's quilter so there you go.) She does a lot of machine quilting for others locally and is very talented with her machine. She is precise and just does beautiful work for herself and others. She machine quilted quite a few of the quilts in the show. I know her personally as she used to live out near me before moving to town and we rode to the meetings together for a bit. I voted for this quilt in the Viewer's Choice Award. I still don't know if it won for that but it did win 1st place in Embroidered Quilts and 1st place in Best Reflects Theme of Show. Did I mention that it was absolutely beautiful in person? (Just an FYI: the title of the quilt was actually Soft Spring Garden.)

It is a beautiful quilt and you can tell she knows how to do machine quilting!!
