Naming mini quilts??
I have three miniature quilts ready for our quilt show's miniature auction, and I am trying to fill out the forms that "go" with them. I am puzzled when it asks for the Name of Quilt.
Does it want me to say Purple and Pink Rail Fence or does it want some sort of a creative name?
Any help would be appreciated, plus possible names if they want something more creative than Blue and White Checkerboard, Purple and Pink Rail Fence, and Brown Bargello....
Thanks!
Dina

I always assume 'name' means 'title' so I go with the creative over the description...and I name everything I make, no matter what it's size or destination.
It's quite hard for me to name quilts for someone else cuz I think they should relate to the maker somehow, but the bargello one reminds me of a dry stream bed and that might fit with your Texas location.
What do you think of when you look at each of them? Go from there with your naming. It sometimes helps to just start writing, kind of like stream of consciousness. You'll know the right name when you see it.
All three are beauties...you always do such precise work!!

every quilt, regardless of size deserves a name. you can give them any name they remind you of when you make them- even if you follow a pattern, you make the quilt an 'individual' when you make it- so give it your name for it.
