Well, it's a great way to use up stashed scraps, for sure!

That turned out to be a happy accident! I will search to find out what a 3D quilt is.

The freeze down here really messed with our deliveries - even after the roads were clear and dry, mail and UPS were still running behind for a few days - probably trying to catch up. The last two Sundays, we've gotten mail delivery, so they should be getting caught up now.

I love the ideas on here! Especially the quilt queen parade one and how fabric scraps should be thrown from the float instead of candy. Made me giggle.

I have rheumatoid arthritis and this time of year is the worst for me - cold/damp weather really affects my body so I can't do a lot of anything, let alone sewing. I try - 20 minutes here, 5 minutes there, staring at whatever I'm working on to see the next steps in my head and yearning to work on it...you get the idea. But it's painfully slow going and will be until it warms up. (Insert several sighs, growls and flaming cusswords here.)

The only thing I was able to get done yesterday was installing the new leather belt on my new-to-me 1904 Singer 27 treadle machine. Even though the machine nestles into it's cabinet, I'm trying to figure out how to make a sewing machine cover for it that looks like the Singer machine - with decals and everything. Thought it'd be novelty enough and make me smile when I look at it. It has to be big enough to cover the machine when it's out of the cabinet but 'stiff' enough to stand upright when the machine is in the cabinet. Methinks it will require some stuffing, stiff interfacing, and a satin-like fabric interior to prevent scratching the real machine. Any thoughts?

Anyway, some of you stitch a few lines for me and let me know how I enjoyed it. Thank you.

Well, I have to say that I read your comment right after I'd taken as sip of tea and then I had to clean off my computer screen.

Thank you for a good laugh!I needed that.

And thank you for doing some sewing for me.
I am completely sorry you had the sorrow of unsewing for me.
May the sewing gods grant you good sewing karma for a very long time.

Sometimes I wish we had "reaction" icons like social media does. Julienm1, you made me laugh, and cringe in empathy, too!

mcadwell, I'm always grateful for warm to come around again, too.

Since it National Quilting Month that means all month long that I can try to get in a little something, right? Well, I going to try to make-up my mind on what colors to use for my little red scrappy throw that I want to gift to my oldest DD special friend. Hope that I don't use the whole month to decide

    Stay safe everyone

I am trying to be a "good girl" and finish up as many PhD's as I can. So far, I have quilted and bound a 27" square wall hanging, replaced a twin sized binding (just need to sew down the back which is tonight's project), finish quilting/binding a guild "challenge" wall hanging, finish sandwiching, quilting and binding a largish lap quilt. I have promised myself not to begin any new projects until these projects have been completed....may not be until next March, but I am hoping for the best and expecting the worst. LOL
