Thankfully I am almost finished my DD's quilt top, because....I hate it!!! She chose the fabric and the pattern. She then decided she didn't want me to do what the pattern calls for after I'd made all of the blocks...so I tried to go with it...added sashing, the colour of which she chose and I think looks terrible, and there wasn't enough to do what "we" planned in that fabric, soo...she chose another fabric to finish with...which is nice enough...but stands out. *sigh* Just finishing up the border (hopefully today or I might burn it!), then onto quilting it. I cannot wait to finish this thing, and I can't just put it away because I know if I do...I'll never touch it again and dd will be so upset! (she's 5, btw, and looooooves how its turning out. I'm happy that she is happy, and I push on because I love her and want her to have her quilt...)

Good thing you are doing for her. She's old enough to remember some of this as she gets older. Think what a great memory this will be for her

Not yet. I usually take and post pictures as I go with each quilt, but I'm soooo disenchanted with this one that I haven't taken any!! Once I get the border on, I'll take a pic. This one will be backed in minky with a satin binding...I think I'm in for a whole lot more disenchantment before it's through...lol

You are a good mom. My DD is an adult and picks out some interesting color combos for me to make for her. She loves them all so it's worth it.

You're right - it is totally worth her happiness about it. She gets more and more excited as I go. I'm thrilled about that, for sure. But I will be happy to see the end of this one. lol
