Default Necktie quilt question

It took me two years to take apart 250 ties. The pattern will be bow tie . I am using Accuquilt die to cut out the ties. What should I use to stabilize the ties while applicating them?

Thanks

I would use Pellon 906F, same stuff I use for t-shirt quilts.

A lightweight fusible interfacing will stabilize bias-cut ties and make them easier to handle when piecing. Finally, someone who works more slowly than I!

If they are silk ties I would stabilize them Before cutting. Silks are difficult to cut when not stabilized. I would use a lightweight fusible stabilizer. Then appliquiing will be easier too.

I'd also stablize before cutting--lots of bias and fabrics that want to stretch and fray.

You probably have noticed several ties are beginning to curl. Stabilizer helps keep them flat and from shifting when sewing together. My first necktie quilt I used a sticky on both sides Pellon. Then I ran out of that and used an iron on sticky on just one side stabilizer. Both worked equally as well. Though there really wasn't a need for the ties to stick to the batting.
