Agree with others ... the style of the star (gorgeous BTW) and the border (pretty in it's own right) clash .. oil and vinegar!!

I personally like it the way it is ... narrow yellow border and wide black border - it frames the star beautifully.

If however it needs to be larger .... perhaps narrow the outer black border by half, add another yellow narrow border, then add a wide black border to the finished size that you need. So ... narrow yellow, narrow black, narrow yellow, wide black. The end effect will be a double yellow "frame" in black.

I LOVE the star but emphatically scream to leave the border off. I feel it detracts a lot from the design. Your star is gorgeous.

I like it without the border also. Maybe a small colored binding. That wall hanging is gorgeous and I wouldn't want to take from that.

These are my feelings as well.

count me in with the "no border" folks. Let the beautiful star shine on its own.

I agree with no border at all. Your eye is immediately drawn to the border not the quilt. My vote: no border but a binding in one of the bold colors would be beautiful. A beautiful quilt, good job.

I agree that the border is a different style. No border or rainbow colors of star, Your star is just Stunning.

Colors aside, there is a disconnect between the beautiful star and thr floral pattern of this fabric. I vote "find an alternative"

my sentimentsas well - although its yours to put what you want with it!

I love your star and I like the border fabric, just not together. The border fabric seems very traditional to me where the star does not so my objection is with the style of the border fabric not the colors.
