I totally love your quilt. It is beautiful. I like the idea of the spiky border like Tartan mentioned. I think that would be striking.

Your star is simply stunning. I think the border, while a gorgeous fabric, takes away from the star and your expert piecing. JMHO

I don't think this border is compatible. It's a different style and feeling, and seems to compete too much for my attention. If you want to use a border to make the quilt bigger, how about either using just one of the fabrics in the star or using some delectable mountain blocks to echo the star in all the same fabrics? I think that would expand and emphasize the design. It's beautiful work, so far.

Your quilt is fabulous and I like the thin yellow border, then the black and finally the border print. Absolutely gorgeous.

I also like it best without the border, although I do love the border, just not on this piece. But as others have said, it is your wall hanging and you should do what you think you will like best. It is a beautiful star.

Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL!!!!I would use the colors in the quilt in your border. I think the border fabric is beautiful but not for your lovely quilt.

Everyone is singing a different tune. I love your purposed border. To me this border encloses the star and keeps the eye from wandering outward. To me you have a real winner. It's beautiful.
