I agree with Cheryl, yellow and purple are comlpementary colours,(opposite each other on the colour wheel)they vibrate off each other and add vigor to the composition. If you want a lively quilt then keep in the yellow.

I would try green, but not necessarily the shade in the background.

I don't much care for the yellow. If you have other colors, audition different ones & you'll probably find one you like that will go with it & make you happy. Is it laying on a green sheet or something? That may be throwing the yellow off in the blocks. Can you put the blocks on a black or white background to see if that helps to determine what goes better. I'm all for changing things up until I get what makes me happy. Be sure to let us know what you decide.

    This.

While it doesn't "GO" all matchy-matchy, I think that's why I like it. The pop of yellow is unexpected AND it compliments the flowers.

I'm not crazy about the yellow. I like the idea of a light pink instead.

Well thanks for everyones input, I am keeping the yellow. My mom liked the yellow and she said to keep it, which is easier for me I wont have to redo it! LOL. Thanks again!

I never use yellow for baby quilts. I f the baby is the least bit jaundiced, the yellow just makes them look worse. And that just worries the new mom!

I like the yellow and maybe do the border in yellow also. As that one fabric has little yellow flowers in it. Happy Quilting!
