I found this at an Antique store today but don't know anything about them. Singer EL 421139 for 85.00 and it said it works. Is that a good price or not and is it worth it. Also saw a treadle style sewing machine in a cabinet but looked like it was electric for 65.00.

This is a 3/4 sized machine and a very nice straight-stitcher.

I might buy it if the condition were very, very good and it didn't look to be in need of new electrical components/wiring.

Lots of treadles have been electrified - as long as the original handwheel remains, it shouldn't be too difficult to re-convert it back to a treadle - usually just means removing the motor and putting a belt on it. :)
