My first grandchild is due in June. We will know the sex next week. My son wants this child to be musical (as he is) and has been looking at guitar and rock star type themes. Luckily mom agrees. She is just happy to be this far along after a miscarriage last year. Any suggestions of patterns, fabrics, etc. and maybe accessories and/or soft toys?

I have some black and white fabric in my stash with musical notes. If you can something like find that it could be worked into pretty much any pattern. If not, maybe applique some musical notes onto background fabric. With the piano key border suggested by Artsy it would be a pretty cute baby quilt. And if it's black and white it would work for boy or girl.

Joanns has some colorful fabric with music notes by the fabric with cats and other novelty fabrics

I love the one that Tanyal's site it's so cute. I have seen a lot of musical with black and white but don't think I would like that for a baby but it would be nice. Sue
