Default Need border help..

I made this top for one of my granddaughters but would like to make a unique border that is a little bit girly. I was thinking of this one from quilter's cache, but not sure it is really girly.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

How about a pretty burgundy & rose-pink floral. Maybe a few appliqued flowers on the white?

I would think if you used girly fabrics you wouldn't need a border unless you needed it to get the size you need from the quilt. This is one border that you have to be very precise with your piecing. Good Luck.

OOoh, scrappy!! I love this quilt, very nice. Great pattern for a scrappy quilt.

No ideas on the border...I like 'em borderless and would probably finish it just like it is in the pic!

I love your quilt and the border would be perfectly. However, it does not say girly big time. Applique flowers would give it a girly look. Can you do both?

What about hexies? Would compliment the blocks. You could do each hexie (if you have enough) in a solid like a grandmother's flower then add some vine like connecting from one to the next or one each corner and then middle of each border

How about the one that uses the half hexagons? the you off set to make a curved or twisted pattern. I think someone posted a quilt with it and it was added to the QB Tutorial section under the title -The Tilde Border

I just came across some applique flowers in a free pattern that might be nice for use in a border: http://www.quiltviews.com/free-patte...altimore-style
