We recently had twin grandbaby boys, unfortunately one of the babies did not survive. I would like to make a quilt to pass down to my grandson using some of his brothers clothes. I have never made a quilt and could use all the help and ideas anyone might have. Pictures would be great too.

What a thoughtful undertaking.

What you can do is make a simple 4 patch or nine patch quilt.

Four patch :

9 Patch

I am so sorry for your loss... (((HUGS)))

If you use the search feature up at the top and type in tshirt quilts, there will be many topics to choose from and pictures.
The same principle applies to tshirts as stretchy baby clothes.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I am not sure where the thread is but I have attached a picture of a quilt a young lady did for her friends parents.

The light squares make a cross in the center and while she used pictures I think you could achieve the same effect with color only.

My prayers for you and your family.

Such a sad reason to welcome a new quilter. We are glad you joined us and hope that you will find comfort in the making of the quilt for your grandson.

My first daughter passed away from SIDS. I am sorry for your families loss. I am going to make my own bleeding heart design and use her clothes for it.
