Ok ladies, I'm making a Twister quilt for my mom for Christmas-birthday-mothers day (which ever day it gets done in time for). I'm using the fabric shown here. I got the two layer cakes to make it while on a trip to Shipshawana this week.

I need help finding a fabric or two to use for the back ground and borders. I am unable to get anymore of the fabric that the layer cakes are made of (unless you can find it for m dirt cheap).

    Thanks in advance.

I think you could match up one of the blues or the cream for the background & borders. Any print that goes with these would do...or a tone on tone would be wonderful!!

Thanks. I so hate picking farbic out. It's the one part I really really hate about quilting.

What pattern are you planning to make? Is hard for me to picture what you are going to make with all the movement in the fabric.

I'd go with cream and red, or cream and the tealy-blue.

This is the pattern I'm using. I did this one earlier this month. I'm looking for a fabric to use in place of the black back ground in this one and the border farbic.

I think picking the darker colors with a thin sash of cream would be my choice.
