Bernina Iron - We'll See
#1
Well you know I was looking for an "Ironing System" but the Reliable IronMaven was alittle out of my price range at $399.00.
Well I was going through Ebay looking for Bernina feet, and found a listing for a Bernina Ironing System. It was from an estate sale and came in the box. There was 15 minutes left and no one had bid on it, so I got it for $36.72 plus shipping.
I figured I had spent that much on a regular iron before, so I would try this out. Didn't know if anyone had used a Bernina iron before, but I guess I have it coming to me no matter what now. ;)
Hopefully it turns out to be a wonderful deal. If not at least the mistake wasn't more than $50. :)

I have a Bernina Iron. It was discontinued after a year of making it.
Love it! Totally. Mine lays flat and the holder is a rubbery substance.
Nice and hot, doesn't turn off automatically, which I love.
Enjoy your purchase.

WOWSERS! This just showed up last night. I got her unpacked added some spring water and turned her on. Takes about 15 minutes for the steam to heat up. But wow...just WOW!
I have a bunch of stripped pieces for an Irish Chain quilt I needed to press, it worked like a DREAM....no spitting, the silicon pad is nice to sit the iron on when you need to put it down.
I feel REALLY lucky I found it for such a great price. Now I can spend the money I was saving for the EXPENSIVE iron on fabric. :)
