I would contact your dealer to see what to expect. I have a Tin Lizzie, didn't like the bobbin winder, so I broke down and got a stand alone winder. LOVE it!

Make sure the notch on the bobbin is sitting properly in the spindle. It can pop off easily. I hold my finger lightly on top while it is filling.

I know on the 2010Q the bobbin tension can be adjusted if bobbins aren't filling correctly. It probably is the same on the 2010Qi. Look at the manual and see if your's is too tight.

This is not normal. The bobbin should wind really quickly but it does need to be set on the spindle correctly with the little notches aligned.

It was on the spindle correctly. I figuered out if i held down the pulse button on the sure stitch it would run fast. Should i have to do this in order to thread the bobbin. does anyone else have to use the pulse button to make it work. I may have to call the company I bought it from to see if there is something wrong with the bobbin winder.
