NEED HELP!!!! questions on the 180e please.

My husband ask me to ask if anyone has the magic box elite to work with there 180e? we are trying to download from artlink and it keeps going to a place asking for the magic box infor. It is not showing that it is going to my sewing machine at all. I have given up on it but he want. Why is it ask about the magic box.
