    Default Embroidery Designs

I have recently bought a new Viking Ruby Embroidery machine and wanted to know if anyone knows of any web sites that have simple designs to put on the boarders of a quilt, that uses the embroidery. I have looked at a lot of sites and can't find a continueous design. My DH was wonderful about buying this machine and now he is looking forward to me using it a lot!!
    Thanks, Ann

Try embroidery library, they are one of my all time favorate sites for designs of all kinds. They also have quilt label designs.....If you want to do a continueous design you should think about a jumbo hoop !!!

Will your machine take the Viking endless hoop? If so, Viking has designs that are digitized specifically for this hoop. You clamp the sandwich in the hoop, do the embroidery, open the hoop, advance the fabric, close the hoop and quilt the next section. The designs have registration marks to help you align the designs. Here's an example. You can see the registration marks at the bottom corners of the design:

It will only work for borders. i would contact the dealer. They usually have classes for this hoop. Viking designs are available at myembroideries.com
    here's another package:

The Viking designs are on the pricy side, but worth it IMHO. Also, if you sign up at the site, they will send info on sales to your email.

I love to embroider endless desgins on my quilt borders. I use do have the endless hoop but use whatever hoop I need for the width of my design. The trick is just lining it up when you rehoop.
