I am trying to put together a forth of July quillow. I want to put straps on it so it can be carried like a bag after it is put in the pillow. I know where to put one side of the straps on the pillow. But I am not sure about the other. I think it must go on the bottom back side of the quilt so when you fold it up you will have two straps. Am I explaining this right? I can't figure out where to put the second strap. And I figure it should be done before I finish the quilt. Maybe not? Any Ideas? Help and Thanks :?

if you reinforce the top of the pillow opning with interfacing, you should be able to slip srtaps in the seam. When in use, the strap would stow in the pocket, wjether used as pillow or quilt. See drawing - it shows strap in the "out" postion when quilt is open. It wouldn't show when used as pillow.

    one way to attach straps
