    Hi Chamby -
Black or the green solid in some of your blocks will make the blocks stand out more. The beige and the red with pin dots seems to make them all fade together.
It depends on the look that you are trying to achieve, but since I like your
pinwheel choices, I think you should just trust your instincts.

I thought about the dark green. but the first block has dark green in the boarder. I thought that this would blend in too much.
Put that one in the middle or cut it down a bit and add another color to its outsides! A darker.....medium dark green would be great! It will make the blocks POP!!! (If you are an orange person that would look good as well.) The fabrics you have are bland but if you WANT a soft look, then go for it! Whatever YOU decide will be the right way. Quilting is a matter of personal choice.

My eyes were also picking up on the darker green. I was hoping you have something in the Hunter green family.

Okay ladies since I have never done a quilt as you go I have been thinking about this really hard. I also did some more research on the computer for this method. I see now that I am going to have to add some sashing. This will prevent losing the design in the blocks. So now I have to decide on the color for the sashing as well as the backing that will also be showing on the front. A friend of mine suggested using navy blue for the sashing. This is beginning to give me a headache. I am going to make this into a wall hanging instead, so probably will not use all blocks. I want this for my kitchen. Again I want the country look. Not in any hurry.
