Now that I can sew I want to do a 1600 inch quilt using a jelly roll.
I want to end up with 2 smaller quilts instead of 1 larger quilt. And I want it to be for boys. I figure I can do 2 quilts for kids quilts using this method (besides I love the look of the stripes being vertical instead of horitonal).
So what I need is what would be the best jelly roll patterns for boys and how would you quilt it?
Thanks so much for your help!

I just finished one that turned out 50x80 and i thought hard about cutting it into two 50x40 quilts. I cut my own strips from my stash. I think I cut about 40 strips. The strips were sewn end to end with a straight seam (not on the diagonal/bias). so, pick the best fabrics you like for boys or cut your own if you have a stash. Mine was quilted in an overall meander, to keep it simple and get it done (in my book, done tops perfect any day). It was also for a charity quilt to be loved so I didn't feel the need to do particular quilting.
