I did a fuzzy cut on some fabric I bought and the cats are adorable, I just cant think of what to do with them, how to place them in a quilt . They are 41/2 inch squares, any ideas. They are a red background on all.

Maybe a Warm Wishes? It calls for a 6 1/2 inch square, but the pattern could be modified. I made a 12 inch square and modified it, and that worked fine.

I will be reading this thread though, as I am pretty sure I also bought this red cat fabric. :) It is still on my shelf smiling at me.

Disappearing nine patch with solid red for the center square and the kitty squares on the corners and paw print fabric for the sides.

Shoefly or hole in the barn door. I did this one for fussy cut kitty fabric. Turned out cute. Free pattern at Quilters Cache.

Log cabin with kitty in the center.

Attic Window.

Warm Wishes.

Pink Lemonade by Quilt in a Day.

Star blocks using kitty in the center and red flying geese for the points.

The center square of a sawtooth star works well with fussy cut 4 1/2" squares. You will end up with 8 1/2" unfinished squares.

"Around the Block" by Judy Hopkins is a wonderful rotary cutting resource guide for 200 popular quilt blocks in 6 sizes. The Sawtooth Star is on page 106. I am always advocating making little blogs bigger by using a simple quilt design and inserting the smaller pieced or appliqued block in the center.
