Going over the answers to your question, I really like the reply for mary'squilts.com. I have been looking for a square in a square block, and that one looks really interesting and easy enough to teach a friend's daughters. Might even make it a party event. She did a knitting tutorial for one of their birthdays; quilting would be great. My granddaughters have their own machines so we have enough to go around. Thanks for bringing the subject up.

Yes I really like this block too. So simple but looks so nice. I could have figured it out on paper if it had occurred to me (as someone suggested...I'm so embarrassed...lol). But I just thought it'd be easy to locate online. I was surprised when I couldn't.
The other pattern I like too and I've saved it for another time.
