Try Thousands of Bolts. They have some good prices and name brand fabrics too. I have never been disappointed in their fabrics. You search by color, so that should be very helpful for you.

Me and my SIL have ordered from them and have been really pleased. FYI the fatquartershop.com just got a new line in called "shades of grey" by daisey jane. Check it out. Good luck. p.s. I know only because I received a email from them this past weekend.

:) :) :)

I like the feel and weight of the CT fabrics and think they're comparable to many quilt shop fabrics. I'm not as crazy about the patterns and colors, which typically have little variation, but if you have found the black and gray fabrics that you like, I would say go for it. The company does stand behind their products.

Connecting threads quality is just as good as quilt shop. I'm sort of a fabric snob and "thought" because their prices were so low it must be junk fabric. I actually started buying after my friend showed me fabrics she had purchased from them. I felt it and have been HOOKED ever since. You won't be sad you did it.

I just bought some fabrics that are gray scale sort of fabrics for a quilt I'm making for my daughter from the "April in Paris" line. This is not Connecting Threads, but I thought I'd share this fabric line with you since I found it interesting. I'm using the French collage fabric as the backing of the quilt so she can make it reversible if she wants.

Hope this helps!

I've ordered fabric from them numerous times and I have yet to be disappointed with my order. I love their fabrics.
