Thank you for all your suggestions and instructions. Now to make a decision on what pattern. I have a BIG family reunion the last of June but will start on the quilt after July 4th. Maybe by the time the quilt is done I'll also learn how to post a picture. Wish me luck and thanks again.

Here is one that I made for a friend who loved purples. It is a strip quilt and I loved making it.

The hearts are appliqued on in a random fashion in the blank blocks.

My DH just requested that I make a quilt for a lady at the golf club that is having a baby boy in August. I picked up the fabric yesterday and am going to make a simple 9 patch and snowball.

I need suggestions for a simple quilt as I haven't done anything but blocks so far

Here are two simple quilt that work up fast. I'm actually working on one now, that I've modified from the mix it up strip baby quilt. But they work up so fast and it's a nice change for blocks.

I almost always put flannel on the back of a quilt meant for a baby. And lots of times for adults too.

This one is very easy from ePatterns. http://www.e-patternscentral.com/det...=620&criteria=

I have a friend that is expecting twins. I finished both quilt tops in just 2 days.

The split rail is easy with three strips; the tube quilt would also go together quickly.

There's a YouTube video by Missouri Quilt Co., in two parts, you might find interesting. I'll bet you could make it in a single afternoon. Their videos are terrific.
