I have 80 FQs of Bali Handpaints in 4 colorways and I'm going to use very little of only 48 of them in a planned quilt. I'm trying to figure out what to do with all the rest of it so what is the prettiest quilt you've seen using graduated colors? Or the best pattern suited for that?

    Oh wow... that is nice.

I was just looking at Judy Niemeyer's designs. It reminded me that I have a book and CD of Carol Doak stars that I can print paper piecing patterns from.

The Bali Handpaints would be perfect for any similar style paper pieced design. Mariner's Compass would be good too, maybe a little less complex than that one.

What about some of the Jinny Beyer patterns? She does a lot with graduated colors, doesn't she?

I did one Jinny Beyer a long, long time ago and I don't want to do one again. I've been tentatively working on a design inspired by a Moroccan rug though I had in mind very subtle color. Maybe I could figure something out with the colors after looking at these other quilts.
