Default Need a travel light

I travel during the winter, stay in several different condo type places. All have terrible lighting. I have been looking at portable lights to take with me. We travel by car, but don't have a lot of room. Does anyone have a lite they like, that is portable? The biggest problem I need to overcome is the lack of table, etc to set it on, close to chair of choice. I believe the best base would be a clamp, I could use the back of a kitchen chair, set close or behind me. I love my daylight lights that I have at home, but they a bulky to try to pack. I would love to hear what you have to suggest. Any you have and don't like?
Thank you for your comments

Do you have Harbor Freight?

They are giving away with their coupons
a head light like miners use and a
Led type square flashl light.

They both work on batteries.

That might work.

I have a "Beam & Read" LED light that hangs from my neck. I have the reading light that goes around my head also. Both work well and travel in a suitcase. And the batteries last quite a long time.

I have the Ikea spot light. You can clamp it anywhere. It has a switch on the cord so you do not have to unplug it every time you want to turn it off. It does not get too hot which can be an issue with many of these lights.

I have the IKEA light ( mine has a solid base, not a clamp) and I love it. Small but very good light.
