Needle size for machine quilting

It does depend on your machine, too. It's a Singer 301 that uses a 12 for everything. When she has a cord issue and I had to quilt on a Necchi, I had to experiment to find a needle it liked. I think it was a size 14 topstitch needle that worked best.
