Default Needle Turn Applique

Is there any place that would be good to find Block of the Month quilts or kits with some piecing and applique both. I have never done needle turn applique but I am willing to try any thing once. That's how you learn right. I have a pattern for a Baltimore Album Quilt but have never had the nerve to try it yet. I would kinda like to start with something small and easy for my first time. Any suggestions would be great .
Thanks

I would take a class if you can and use one of the blocks from the Baltimore Album with practice fabric. Good luck.

You can make your own applique- go to Google - then Google Coloring Page and whatever design you want - you will get pics that you can make into an applique template That way you can practice without a huge expense or Fat Cat patterns has a wonderful pattern library for applique

Look for tutorials here on the board and on YouTube. I love needle turn applique. It's what I do as I watch TV. Taking a class would be helpful to you but these ideas for tutorials will also help.

I recently tried needle turn on a Christmas sampler, after using other methods in other blocks. It was a great experience!

this is the main page for needle turn applique on youtube... get a couple of simple line pieces, follow along with your favorite demo after watching several to find the right one for you.... you can watch as many times as you like and pause whenever you want.... i prefer these to classes, just because i can do any time of the day or night, whenever i have a few minutes during the day....

Here are some wonderful ones! I was inspired by the one shown by MarthaT (2nd link) to order that one or another or the Lori Smith designs. The blog link says they did it as a BOM.

I'm going to get brave and learn needle turn, too!
