Can anyone recommend a cute, girlie pattern?? I'm open to just about anything --we weren't expecting this little one for a month or so.........
So happy she's here safe and sound

I believe congrats are in order! Glad to hear all is well.

This little quilt is so pretty, just right for a little girl.

It's on my list for someday, which is funny because it's listed as a quick quilt! :) http://quickquilts.com/golden/qg26_pattern/

Congratulations on your new addition! My girlfriends daughter is expecting a baby girl in March and I want to make her a quilt (the baby) so this is a great subject to bring up, thank you! I know they are doing a Disney princess theme in the nursery but I don't want to do a Disney princess quilt, I want it to be something she can grow with and keep forever.

Congratulations!!! Was she a month early?

Sunbonnet Sue is always a popular pattern for little girls. There is also the Dresden Plate pattern if you want the quilt to grow with her. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

I have only seen her pix on-line. She's my newest neice--not mine  THAT would have been a surprise! I hoped to make her something over the holidays. Now, I really have to get busy.

Thanks--she is my new niece--not MY baby. Sorry...should have been more clear. I don't often get the opportunity to sew for girls so I'm clueless. There have been some great suggestions though!

How about a quilt in Christmas theme if she was just born? Maybe even turn the tables and make a Christmas quilt with mostly pinks instead of the reds?

Well Izy, I adore the Baby Bunny one--If I can get to the copy shop, I could make the bunny tonight. I will just HAVE to go and get some pastel fabrics.

Now I like that. It looks like it could be made in a weekend. I have two baby quilts I feel I should make for friends and right now I'm just sucked free of inspiration. This might be an easy solution. Thanks for sharing.
