I have the Sweet rolls and Dessert rolls mixed up! But they are both excellent ideas. I love seeing baskets of pre cuts sitting in my sewing room. I get inspired and motivated just looking at them.

They are not new, they just have not been as widely available. I bought some several years ago and just recently used one to make a border for a quilt.

I can't imagine my needing/buying pre-cut rolls, but anything's possible, I guess. A few years ago, I bought a lot of batik pre-cut 2-1/2" strips and found them to be poorly cut. Are the Sweet Rolls/Dessert Rolls, etc., cut precisely?

Is it just me or do they seem a little pricey when you figure the per yard price? 20 strips at 5" would be just a little over 2 3/4 yards. I guess I'm just cheap. I'd rather pay less per yard and cut my own.

Default Fabric rolls

What I like most about any of the precuts is the fact you get at least one print/colorway of each item in the collection. Makes it easier for me to "match" or put together colors and prints.

And just yesterday I saw a 6" X WOF packaged roll and it was called a "six pack". It seems those manufacturers are getting more clever with their naming of precuts.

I was wondering the same thing as you Weezie. I haven't purchased jelly/dessert rolls either but wondered if they were cut straight or if some is lost trying to straighten them up. I don't really mind cutting out the fabric although I have never needed to cut many strips at a time.

Does anyone sell pre cut bias strips 2/1/2 inches wide?
