I'm with you all the way. I tried to do a throw by myself, big mistake. When my DH helps everything is smooth and neat. After 49 years you would have thought I would have learned that I can't do without him.

Hooray for husbands--it's amazing what they will do for us and also the other way around.

My DH has been known to help when I'm basting quilts, but he does so begrudgingly at times, but at least he helps from time to time. I mainly need him to put the leaves back into our dining room table, which (because of limited space) has been sized down to a small, round table, not always the best choice, but I couldn't take my huge old dining room/kitchen table with us when we downsized. Bummer.

So, DH is now not just my favorite husband , but also my favorite quilt tool.
How's your back? Chiroprator and ice help mine.

The last time I put a king size on my LAQ machine, I had a friends help. (She's been getting her's done very cheaply and still complaining so I wanted her to see how much work it can be.) What a difference! You're certainly right there. I think I'll enlist DH next time.

Hi to petthefabric just above--just my thought when people look at you like you're crazy when you say how much you would charge to quilt a quilt for them.....I've become quite blasé` about not taking on any more quilts for outsiders. You would think that they would figure out how much the rest of the process is when they buy, cut out, and piece a quilt.....and the ones who have mama's quilt top that they want quilted are the worst. Let me get off my soap box here--I'm not doing any more quilts for free.....
