New Gadget
I love gadgets! Recently I found a new one to me, Annie's Magic Button. From the video I viewed, it attaches to your small rotary cutter and adds 1/4 inch as you cut around your applique pieces. Have you used one and what do you think? TIA

It's Ann's Magic Button. Here is a video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow3oj0ym750
Seems like a great new notion.

Great idea. Went on her website, she has a store. She sells the button and the fusible. http://www.annholmesstudios.com/Ann_...ine_Store.html
I can see where it would work well for simple shapes, but would it work and be worth it if you needed to cut more intricate shapes?

I don't know, I'm wondering if others have tried it too. I figured its like those 1/4 inch discs that you use to draw around simple shapes but already attached to the cutter. At least that's what I saw in the video.

I wonder if her French fuse is the same thing as the lightweight fusible interfacing. Also, wondering if the button only works on the small rotary cutter.

I sent Ann Holmes a question about what size rotary cutter the Magic Button fits & here is what she said:
quote:
"it is designed to fit on a 28mm OLFA Rotary cutter.
I use it for 90% of the cutting that I do to automatically add seam allowances.
I also have Magic Button 2.0 for the smaller Applique pieces;
this one fits the 18 mm OLFA Rotary Cutter."
