I am looking at the Serenade and am wondering what the difference is? I have never had a babylock machine so am wondering how people like them as well.

I have a BabyLoc serger...not a machine tho...but it is a good one...I've had it about twenty years, been in the shop one time...hope that's an indicator of how good their machines are!

I have the Babylock Quest Plus, now the Serenade, and I love it. I would get it again. It has the built in walking foot and the harp is 11 inches. I wouldn't get another machine unless it has the built in walking foot. Enjoy your new machine.

I have the older model the Espire, and have been nothing but happy with her, never had a thing wrong with her. Just love how she sews, she is super quiet, a dream to work with. Still haven't used all the features that are on her, but I am sure I will one day. You will love the pivoting feature. You will love that you never have to really mess with tension. FMQ is a dream to practice, you can adjust speed, presser foot pressure, presser foot height, you can turn the AHA off and on as you choose if you choose to control your own tension. All the stitches are beautiful, especially the satin stitches for applique and decorative as well. The circular attachment is fun. Haven't used my bobbin work kit that I purchased yet but look forward to it. I thought about upgrading, but I couldn't justify the extra stitches since I hardly use the ones I have now. Anyways you will enjoy the machine, just don't be afraid of it for six months I hardly used it

I got the Babylock Seranade about a month ago and LOVE it. What a difference from my el cheapo Brother from Wally World. I'm taking the free classes so I can use it properly & am finding out I had a LOT to learn. But, I do love the way it sews. What a difference. Buying a new machine was a huge step. That's a lot of $ for this girl. But, now I'm so glad I made the leap. I think you will love it. But, do take the classes. Very important. Take care of your new friend and enjoy.
