Default new to me Bernina

Well, i bought a Bernina from a lady who adv online with a pic of the machine from the back. It was a Bernina in a case and it is heavy. I asked her if she could post a pic from the front and she did. We met in Minot and I gave her $150 even tho she had dropped the price. I figured she drove to Minot so I did not have to drive all the way to Beulah. I checked it out today and it works. Has a nice stitch, needs to be cleaned and case smells a little. I think I am going to take it to the Bernina guy in Minot and have him clean it up. Will take a before and after picture to post.

I'd be interested in what model it is also. I've had a 1630, Artista 180 and a 930. I still have the artista and the 930.

ManiacQuilter2, I inherited my mother's Bernina 1020. Does anyone know how to do a blanket stitch on a 1020? I have some applique that I want to "trim" with the blanket stitch, but don't know how. Thanks!
P.S. I love it! ! !

good deal by the sounds of it.....the 830 is a work horse. Taking it to a Bernina service person is a VERY good idea.

Enjoy!!!
