new to me kwik klip
#26
I use mine every time I pin baste my quilt. I'm right handed so I hold it in my left hand, slip the pin through the sandwiched quilt so the end of pin slides right over the tool (which you hold flat to the fabric) and just push the pin top down,....click, it's closed. Save a lot of time and pricked/tired fingers.

With my arthritis, I wouldn't be able to close the safety pins. With this miracle tool, it's no problemo! I keep it in the tin with my pins.
BTW - I keep a package of dessicant in the tin with my pins for basting. It's that pouch of stuff that comes in boxes with your shoes, in purses or anything else they don't want to get mouldy. It keeps the pins from rusting.
