Thanks for the info, everyone! I never stopped to consider that we're too late to get reservations in town. How far in advance do you need to make reservations to get a good hotel? Are there any hotels within walking distance of the hot spots?

We stayed in a little motel about 25 miles south of Paducah on highway 60. It wasn't a 5 start but it was comfortable and the was a diner a few blocks up toward Paducah that wqas great and very inexpensive.

Down town Paducah was great. There is a free parking lot about 5 blocks from the old convention center tthat we parked at each day. The suggestion to wear good shoes is a great one, you will do a lot of walking.

you make reservations a year in advance, but sometimes there are smaller towns just outside of Paducah such as; Metropolis, Ill., Benton, Ky. (20 to 25 miles), Murray, Ky. (30 to 35 miles), Calvert City, Ky. ( 18 to 20 miles), Any of these towns have some nice small motels or bed & breakfasts.

What airport do people fly in to? I noticed there is a regional airport in Paducah.

I go every year. I drive so stay in a hotel out of town. Like the poster said earlier, I drive to the Hancocks and park there if I want to go on the shuttle bus. The bus is free but I always tip the drivers if there is a tip jar set up for them. I bought most of my vendor purchases from the ones set up in the mall last year so don't forget to go to the mall. If you have just one day you won't be able to go to all of them and the show. The convention center has the show on the ground level and the second floor. The rest of the show's vendor were outside in the bubble last year. I liked the bubble it had great light.

Barkley Regional Airport is the closet one and it is a smaller airport. If you want to drive a couple extra hours, then you can fly into Nashville Tenn.

Southwest to Nashville. I'm not sure but their "regional" airport might be like ours here in Bowling Green - no commercial carriers, private/corporate planes only.
