Your quilt is beautiful. And I am sure your special effort will be appreciated. Just knowing someone cared enough to make this beauty will be encouragement. Please add my promise to pray for him to the many others on the thread.
I watched the video and he looks to be covered with one of the quilts that many of us contributed to last spring. I cannot remember the name of the project but quilters were asked to contribute stars and a fabric company would put them together and make quilts for wounded soldiers. I know that many of us made starts. I saw them on the Board postings. Toward the end of the video is a quick shot of the lower half of the quilt and Ta-Da! there are some of those prescribed stars.

What a beautiful quilt and I'm sure the young man will appreciate it. It's easy to forget what these young men and women have to go through when they come home. My husband spent a year in Viet Nam right after we were married and every day I saw veterans of Viet Nam come through the VA Hospital where I worked. It was difficult seeing these men come home, but they encouraged me to keep the faith and to tell him that he needed to believe he was coming home. Thankfully he came home safely, but it was a year in his life that he seldom talked about. It is a wonderful thing that you are doing for this young man. God bless you.
