I will work on a flannel Tree of Life. I got it cut out before Christmas so I am good to go. Also working on an appliqué in the evenings.

I will do the Merry Mayhem's mystery quilt Monday. Also the starry night BOM starts Monday. I need to finish 3 blocks and set a quilt together also. And my space is in desperate need of cleaning and tidying. Happy New Year everyone. Can't wait to see what next year brings.

    Chasezzz - love that quilt!

Yesterday I got my Mom's UFO quilt ready for backing and to go out to the LA shed (with about 11 others). My mom had several strips of muslin ripped and it was the right length for another border. I have enough of the tan print for binding. I think it looks a lot nicer with the muslin border.

I have the extra blocks put together, but have not decided on extra borders yet. I think I know why my Mom left them off, some were odd sizes and mostly duplicates of what was already in the quilt. They are all together now, so they won't be orphans any longer.

Here is the stack of quilts that need binding. Nothing really large in this pile.

This morning I grabbed the one I figured would be the most work and got the binding on. This one isn't the largest, but the fabric is heavy glitter and the batting is high loft.

My favorite is the butterflies I added to make it different. About 2/3rds of the blocks have them.

Then I trimmed up some of my BH Mystery blocks. I'm still catching up with clue 5 and have cut the coral for clue 6. I want to spend signifiant time putting on bindings, but will take a break between them to work on the mystery.

Last night was my weekly sewing get-together with my Bonnie Hunter group. Got step 6 all finished, so I am all up to date.

My weekend plans changed when Bonnie released clue #7 this morning. So, that comes first. After that, I want to finish my ruler bag. I made one last week, and decided I need a slimmed down version for day retreats (the big one holds every single ruler I own plus the cutting mat I travel with). Then maybe I'll dig out that UFO list I made and try to start making a dent in it.

I'm trying to get some scrappy blocks put together, to get them off the design wall so the sewing room can turn into a dining room for NYE. Not much sewing otherwise, will be cleaning and cooking this weekend.

Looks like I'll be working on BH stuff after all, now that she's come out with a clue a day til the reveal. I think she's really helping us out, so there isn't so much to do at the reveal.

Chasezzz, your rainbow quilt is spectacular!

Cathy, you are so prolific. Love the quilting you did on that gold one... super gorgeous.

Macybaby, you sure are getting a lot done. I just love the one with the butterflies. That is a lot of work. Hope you are keeping that one for yourself.

    Wow, what wonderful projects!

I gave my self a little Christmas gift, it is a double holed heddle and shuttle for doing pick-up work on bands. I made a little quilted bag to hold it and to keep it protected. You can hardly see the quilting, I was playing with rulers on my Featherweight with a walking foot. It was made from pieces of fabric and batting from other items. I am seeing the usefulness of having a stash:-)

I also finished up BH clue #7 - 100 double geese are flying into the quilt box.

'The best laid plans'... no quilting will not get done. Unexpected company for the long weekend.
