well, pulled it out after a while of having it in the ufo pile. still deciding on border. to have one or not.
what do you all think?

It's gorgeous! I think I'd do an inner border with a darker fabric to match the sashing, then the lighter outer border.

Personally I think a border would be nice on this quilt. You did a wonderful job and I love the colors!

Beautiful!! Just beautiful! If it was my quilt, I would want a border or borders, but then I really like the way a border finishes up a quilt. I just spent two days trying to decide what border to put on the top I just finished, so I am no good at deciding borders.

Beautiful though!! For sure. Wish I could make tops like that.

I think I would put a border the same fabric and size as the sashing, then see what would work for the outer border

I agree with Joyce. Lovely quilt but will be a beauty when finished with borders.

I agree with Helen S about a border that uses the sashing color in the same width and then the lighter border. It is a fabulous quilt and will be awesome when completed.

EDIT: If you do the inner dark border don't forget the cornerstones!

I think I would pick up one of the lighter colors for a small border and sashing color for binding. Kind of like a matt and frame on an oil painting. I personally like the red for a border. INMHO I just love it. It is a beautiful quilt.
