So sorry, because that was a good way to use my 40% off coupon.

Noticed last week at my HL that they didn't have any quilting magazines in the rack near the check-outs that they usually had been carrying. I was hoping they were just out of them that day! I subscribe to two magazines but occasionally like to pick up a different one if it looks interesting. Especially like using a coupon for that.

Our WalMarts moved the craft magazines to the Craft Department. They now only carry three of four quilt magazines. They also reduced their magazine rack to half of what it was and added a section of children's books and increased the men's magazine section. The gave the extra space to the electronics department. They got rid of the 10 percent discount year's ago.

Yes, this seems to be a corporate decision. I emailed corporate and told them to please reconsider carrying magazines.I also noticed that HL has very few quilting books now as well.

I received a reply that my "concern" had been forwarded to the buyer. Maybe if enough of us write, maybe they will eventually start carrying them again. Look at what happened when WalMart did away with the "fabric" section. I don't shop there for fabric, but I know that many do as WM is their only source for fabric/thread/etc.

It's not impossible for corporate to change their mind, but it can happen.

Very disappointing --I often used my 40% coupon there, because Michael's and JoAnn will not allow coupons for magazines.

That's sad. I love magazines.
