So wonderful! Need to grab another tissue! This has to be a great "gift" to you this holiday season. It certainly warms my heart. I hope your grandaughter loves the many years ahead of her sewing and she'll build wonderful memories as she goes. Thank you for sharing this great story with us! Happy Holidays to you and yours.

How fantastic is that. My mothers old Singer is in a box in the basement. I sure hope it survives until I can take it home. She doesn't want to give up anything while she's here and I can understand somewhat but she isn't sewing any more. She's 86 and we got a Kenmore for her a while back thinking it would encourage her to keep sewing but she's given up doing anything. Dad died 5 years ago and she has stopped living also. So sad

what a lovely tribute to great grandmother, grandmother, and mother. and a "badge of courage" for the newest generation. i love how the skill and love of the machine goes down through the generations. you have done a wonderful thing.
