Dotty, there are adapters so that you can use short shank, snap in, etc., feet from other machines or generics on your Bernina machine. I was told about it when I bought the specialty foot for piecing curves, but I have been using that foot on my FW, so I haven't even asked my Bernina dealer about the adapter.
