Now I know what a walking foot is!
I really enjoy learning about quilting by reading the posts on my new quilting board! I have to keep Google open because I don't know some of the sewing terms mentioned. (I am still decoding the abbreviations: DH i guess is dear husband?)
After googling "jellyroll", I had to google "walking foot".
I am currently quilting my first jellyroll quilt with the walking foot that I ordered from Amazon. I am naming it "Learning Curve"! What a difference!
I also watched videos of free motion quilting, found the circular type presser foot to use, and quilted my name in cursive!
Thanks and appreciation for all the questions, answers, and thoughts posted.

Good for you for being so ambitious and dedicated! There is a lot that can be learned from this board, as there are so many experienced quilters. Good luck on your quilting adventures and we would love to see your quilt when it's done!

Glad that you are enjoying your "ride" here on the QB.
Great name for your current quilt. I'll look forward to seeing it sometime soon!
Here's an older thread that might help you get through the alphabet soup of quilty acronyms and words ...
Quilter's Dictionary & Acronyms ... a consolidation of previous posts
And yes, you got that DH interpretation correct!!

After many years around here and a leave of absence for a few years I am still learning and new techniques are always popping up. Kudos to you for jumping right in and learning new things for this fun craft called quilting.
BTW (By the Way) DH= Dear Husband.
