I have been watching the progress of all of these wonderful OBW's and I love the cube blocks that some people have used. I did a search and look what I found:

It is due out in April

I don't understand the OBW cubes thing. Can someone explain it to me? I love the obw blocks... but why the addition of cubes???

I too can't wait to see what new twists the book will offer!

Deedles, I think the purpose of the cubes is to add an extra dimension to a quilt that's maybe a little bland otherwise or to provide a transition between awkward areas, for example if you get very light and very dark blocks, the cubes used between them can make them flow better. They provide a focal point and help the eye travel around the quilt as well. If used badly, ie just plonked in without any thought, they can dominate and spoil the design but used carefully and thoughtfully, are a great design tool. Plus the 3D effect really gives a quilt depth. That's just my opinion, others may think differently. :-D
