    Default Octagon quilt
    I have a smallish quilt top done made with all p.p. Octagons and wonder how to finish the edges in order to put batting and backing on it. Thanks for suggestions.

    if it's a smallish to, my suggestion would be to birth/envelope it

    I would put a border on it and finish it up as any other quilt. My experience has been binding is less trouble than birthing or envelope.

    Ok thanks...but what do I do with the edges of the octagons,? How do I put a border on all those edges?

    You can fill in the edges with half hexagons to make your edges straight.

    That's what I did. I used the same fabric as the "path" and filled those spaces so I had a straight edge to bind.
