One good thing is that the Grace Company is very helpful. I got mine stuck and tried everything not realizing that the needle was down, so once I got it to the highest position it came out. I hope you get this resolved quickly. Good luck!

Rhonda, Thanks for asking.
Yesterday I got brave and decided to use my seam ripper to try to pry the bobbin out from above. It took several attempts from different angles, but it finally came out.
I took the bobbin spring out of the bobbin case because it was pushing the bobbin out of the bobbin case. My theory is that is what caused the jam. The spring was replaced with a bobbin washer and that did the trick.
Happily, it does sew well now.
I am so relieved!

I have a different dilemma! I gave a GD my featherweight machine as she lives on a boat and I thought the case might protect the machine. Well, she called me today and the thread keeps breaking. I told her to review the manual and try again. It never acted up on me. I also told her to change thread. I haven't heard from her, so I hope she was able to resolve the problem.
