That's like using the Angler II without the cost and annoyance of having to allign it and tape it down. Good idea.

I'm going to try this post again. I typed it out 4 times this morning, and each time when I tried to post it, everything froze up - again. I do wish someone would fix what's becoming a very annoying bug. Anyway - thanks very much for this clever tip. I only discovered painters tape recently, and my roll is going down fast. The guy in the local painters and decorators shop was rather bemused when I told him I wanted it for sewing!
Now...5th time lucky?

That is fabulous! I hate drawing the lines on all the squares, and if you are using dark-colored squares, it's a problem. You've solved it!

Good idea. Saw the mystery quilt in the magazine but didn't do it. Will be anxious to see yours completed.

Default My Mystery Quilt Picture

One of our great quilters ask that I post a picture of my mystery quilt. Here it is laid out on the carpeting. Not sewn together yet - still working on that after getting the blocks completed and laid out. It was a lot of fun - will do the mystery quilt again.

Love that fabric!! I, too accidentally discovered your trick. I have a line down from the needle for diagonals and one for a 1/4". So much time and money saved! I sew just a hair to the right of the "line" so as not to take up fabric for the fold.

Glad for you!!
