Heard of a family cleaning out their Mother's closets and kept finding balls of tissues in her sweaters, coats and the robe, and threw away the tissues. Went to her jewelery box and couldn't find certain items. Yep, she wrapped them in tissues and 'hid' them in her pockets. We found money in Mother's clothes too, when she moved into a condo. We told her and she said you didn't find it all! We don't know if she found it then but when she passed away, we found money.

Used to help with the school rummage sales. One of the other ladies working would always check all the donated purses - always found money in some of them. Donated it to the cause - made the event even more sucessful.

Since the money wasn't intentionally sold with the hankie, maybe it should have been returned to the seller?

I once kept a five dollar bill that I found in a pair of pants that I bought from a church thrift store and have felt guilty ever since. I wish I'd returned it to the store now.

I have never found any money but my fiends grandma used to wrap her hundreds in foil and put them in ho ho boxes in the deep freeze.. She said it was safer than the bank and the robbers would never think to look there.. LOL
