Both are beautiful but seeing them side by side I like the yellow best. The orange one overpowers the other colors in my opinion.

Seen in Thumbnail size, (as if looking at the quilt from a distance), the one on the right (from Rhonda's posting) is more appealing to me because the design focal point is the central part of the quilt- whereas the one on the left is weighted toward the edges so the center seems a bit lost. But, when seen in close up, I like the one on the left slightly better, not sure why as I think the one on the right is the stronger design.

I like the one that the predominate color is orange (the first one) I love that you are doing a variation of Snail's Trail. It is on my to do list.

I prefer the yellow version, but my eye is struggling to differentiate between the yellow and aqua. Could you darken one or the other of those values?

I agree. The yellow shows better.

    Which one do you like?

Have you chosen the fabrics yet?

I'm just going to "ditto" Robs comment because he said exactly what I was thinking about the thumbnail vs close-up.

Both designs give me a very Spanish Moor/ Arabian Nights vibe if that helps you make a decision and following elements (borders)

But ... if you are going to add a border, the yellow design with a dark orange border. See why I’m asking about borders?

Can you tell me if this is a Snail trail mixed with Storm at sea? Or something else. I’ve been looking at the AQ dies today and still learning about these patterns.

The different color layouts really change the look.
It is the snail trail mixed with SAS, and I will be doing PP when I do it!

Thank you! But I'm not that smart LOL RhondaK was the one who was able to make them into pictures instead of JPEGs LOL
